U-Heal Partners
Loyola University Athletic Department
We provide comprehensive mental health services tailored to athletes, including individual and group therapy, while collaborating with coaching staff, administrators, doctors, specialists, and athletic trainers to address diverse mental health concerns. We design and facilitate presentations to raise awareness, promote coping strategies, and foster open discussions about mental well-being. Additionally, we create safe spaces for BIPOC athletes to address their unique challenges and partner with other mental health professionals to ensure holistic and inclusive care.
Office of Minority Health
In partnership with the Office of Minority Health (OMH), we serve as a Subject Matter Experts (SME) to evaluate literature that informs federal funding and policy. Together, we ensure the accuracy, relevance, and impact of the information shaping these decisions. This collaboration enables us to contribute to policies that enhance community well-being, reflecting our commitment to advancing mental health on a broader scale.
Chicago Public Schools
This partnership provides trauma-informed care to address the systemic and community challenges faced by students at Helen M. Hefferan Elementary on Chicago’s West Side. The work includes supporting teachers by enhancing their understanding of trauma and equipping them with effective strategies to engage students affected by it. Additionally, students are guided in identifying and understanding their trauma while developing positive and constructive ways to process and cope, fostering a supportive and resilient learning environment.
Healthy Teacher Movement
Our partnership with Healthy Teacher focuses on the development and implementation of mental health-based services. As a clinical supervisor, the role involves providing guidance and oversight to ensure these services effectively support the mental well-being of both educators and students.
Coffee, Hip-Hop, and Mental Health
We partner with Coffee, Hip-Hop & Mental Health, through the "Normalize Therapy" initiative, offering free psycho-educational workshops and individual therapy sessions to communities in Chicago. These services provide essential mental health resources and practical tools to support emotional well-being. By combining cultural relevance with accessible, low-cost education, the program empowers individuals to prioritize their mental health.
Empathetic Empowerment Counseling
Through our unique partnership with Empathetic Empowerment Counseling, we provide a range of services focused on workers’ compensation cases. These include labor market surveys, career counseling, work hardening activities, interview preparation, and other professional development tools.
